New Technology - Week 3, Activity 7

The USB (Universal Serial Bus)

The new advancement in computer technology allows the Public in our Library, to access, transfer, communicate information in a variety of ways using a variety of devices.

The USB (Universal Serial Bus) gives you a single, standardized, easy-to-use way to connect up to 127 devices to a computer.

Just about any computer that you buy today comes with one or more Universal Serial Bus connectors on the back. These USB connectors let you attach everything from mice to printers to your computer quickly and easily. The operating system supports USB as well, so the installation of the device drivers is quick and easy, too. Compared to other ways of connecting devices to your computer (including parallel ports, serial ports and special cards that you install inside the computer's case), USB devices are incredibly simple!

Public are able to use USB storage devices to save and retain information sourced from the Library Network. This technology is beneficial to the user because it enables you to store large quantities of information as opposed to the traditional Floppy Disk, which retained a much smaller capacity.

My Rose Garden

This is week 3 and I am exploring Flickr. I have finally learnt how to upload photos from my computer desk top. I've included three of my favourite roses. The left red old fashion rose is in memory of my late husband. I have named it "The Mario Rose". It survived the move from our previous house and it's very special to me. I'm happy to be able to share it with all my lovely friends.

Yellow Rose

This is my yellow rose and I think it's beautiful. So beautiful that I would like to share it with you. I hope it makes you feel happy too.

I've become a great lover of roses. I'm sure there are many people out there that have grown to love them like me.

Not moving to my next step until I'm familiar with this one. I'm testing how to put on a second posting. Still feeling my way around. If this works, Week 3: Photos & Images here I come. Some of you out there are doing so well it's good to see. See you all soon.
